Ok guys got a big problem. Car wont hold idle. I can get it started but then it immeditaly dies. If i give it gas it will run but not very well. It backfires and spits. I am clueless to what is wrong with it. The only fault code is 1221. which is oxygen sensor but that wouldnt make the car run like it is. The weird thing is i drove it last nite a midnite. Not hard just to the store and then back only a couple miles. ran fine. Get in it this morning and now this. Any help would be great.

ok got a CEL out if it and its 1281 which is DMW low voltage and says it needs to be replaced. Can that be it? would it just dies like that overnite? need help asap. kinda need the car since its my DD.

I had the same problem ran fine then would die or just run real rough and then die. I could not find out what was wrong and did the same thing you did posted my problem and all the guys were very helpful, but nothing worked. I bit the bullet and took it into my local shop and they found out the problem . . . he changed the spark plugs and it ran like a bear after that.

figures it out. The hose going from the ICV to the intake manifold was off completly. as soon as i stuck it back in it ran fine. Thanks for the help skycity.
