VCS,

We are all car fanatics so would be neat if you did a photo log of your restoration on the 57 T-Bird which is a valuable and outstanding classic.

Please be aware that you will be corrupted and become a modaholic, I was perfectly normal before finding this forum.

Now I must go through the 12 step recovery program. God grant me the serenity to accept my car the way it is. The strength to say no to the ones tempting me and the wisdom to know how corrupt this board is. :D

VW Rabbit pickup, aka "Caddy" as opposed to the VW Cabriolet, the "Cabby"

don't ask me how they came up with the first one though...

Ohhhhh i see. lol sorry for the delayed post. This "caddy" of mine i will never sell! After purchacing my bimmer, my mum asked "what about yur truck?" This is the car i will be burried in. LOL

1980 VW sportstruck mods: GTI engine, 5 speed, seats, re-routed 2" exhaust, 4W disc brakes, suspension, gem top camper, theres more but i cant think of @ this time.

At the moment it looks hash and has a broken fuel pump. At one point it became a work truck so i havnt kept it up so....sorry folks. pictures of it are shamefull @ the moment :P

No problem :) When I get home I'll post pics of the ones I had. One was a '80 with a 2.0 16v motor, 5 spd GTi trans, Corrado seats, Konig wheels and a lot of floorpan rust. The other was a non running stock '81 Sportruck. One day I'll have to get another one...

2.0 16v? whoah cool! I didnt know that fit. lotta mods or bolt in?

Corrado seats! niceee. Do they just slide in? : ) Someone on here has a Corrado V6. Nuts power!

I heard these trucks stopped production because of complaints of not enough power for hauling. But in my opinion, this is the BEST car i've ever owned. It handles like a Rabbit. Great gas mileage. And is one of the only non full framed pickup. (although i think dodge made a geeky looking one) Safer for occupants in a collision

Yes please post pics!
