Hey everyone, this is my first post on the Bimmer forums and I really need some help regarding some suspension on a e-46 330xi. It looks like I will be buying a beautiful 2002 model in great stock shape. I am looking to drop it about 1.5 to 1.75 inches…

I am coming from the VW world where you can drop these things to the ground but after doing some research about the xi model I realized that it is set up quite different than the other e-46 3 series. Can anyone let me know what my options are I searched a bit and couldn’t find exactly what I’m looking for. The extra ground clearance isn’t that needed for here in PA but the all wheel is great.

Springs & Shocks or Coil Overs I don’t know that I will ever want to raise the car back up so sinking the money into coil overs probably wont do me much good. Thanks for the help!

not really sure how the xi is set up. but if your not going to use it for track use. coil-overs are not worth it. Sport shocks and springs will do you best.

I will not be using it for track use, but i dont feel the need for changing the ride height so coil overs arent really what I am looking to get into.

I mainly want to bring the ride height of the car down. What kits are available?

Check bavauto.com, they have a few kits available for the 330xi.
