The rear driver side door on my e39 will not unlock. I'm fairly certain it's in the double-lock mode so it can't be opened from the inside and the lock actuator will not reverse it back up. Short of performing door panel surgery with the door closed, does anyone know of another method to get the actuator up out of double-lock?

good luck. i've had to do surgery with doors closed. not fun. sometimes the cable will break, and it won't release the latch completely causing it to not work from inside or out.
