Magnaflows, I ran a Magnaflow system on my 02 Mustang and that was the loudest exhaust I have ever had.

Did you know that Flowmasters has mufflers which will fit the 645:eek: I wonder if it would make the 645 sound like a Ford or Chevy?

I bought a Britalman Chrome Intake, spoke to Gorilla Beast Sales Manager and nothing is being made for the 645, and that he had only a couple of Britalman intakes left and that Britalman stopped production.

i rolled a few fenders before...it takes a while to get used to...also, the angle you set it at depends on the car and the flare you're trying to get...each car is different...best bet is to make changes in small increments and to finesse the rolling vs. using brute force...

Jay that is a good point take things in small increments then trying to get the whole look at once, metal needs to be massaged gently and slowly.

Also for those who will have their fenders rolled be sure there was no body work done and or touch up paint in that area.

I would recommend changing all of the fluids in a used car too. Coolant, engine oil, trans oil, diff oil, etc.

The E46 M3 has a large piece on the rears and the metal itself seems to be real thick.

We got a little in the rear after rolling, but don't expect to achieve anything like E36s, E30, E28s, etc.

We're charging a 12pack of Corona for the use of the tool. :devillook

I am still waiting to get it back from the dealer. To be completely honest, I am not sure if I would want to sell the car to anyone on here, simply because I forecast continued engine problems with these cars until BMW actually acknowlegdes the issue and comes up with a viable working fix. If I get rid of the car it will buy legally forcing BMW to buy it back, since it is still under warranty, and getting something else from them. Maybe a 335?

It might be a bit of a stretch to say it applies to all ZHPs, but I know of about 150+ people with these cars that are suffering the same problems. And to add to that, I do not know of anyone having these problems with cars other than ZHPs.

Since then he has had 26 years of tweaking that car and knowing it inside out. His wife and daughter also know the car inside out. Until the 3 Lees and Gene leave BSP, it will be very hard aka nearly impossible for anyone else to dominate that class.

Just so everyone knows, I do not have anything bad at all to say about how BMW/H is treating this. Will and team have been very helpfull and accomodating with me through the whole ordeal. I get phone calls every other day letting me know what they are doing, or want to do, and I have no complaints with their service. Just the fact that BMW has a engine configuration out there that does not work too terribly well, and they do not seem to have any interest in admitting it.

He is having the problem that most ZHP's have had probably with the cam timing. Check in the thread he went into detail on the sound the engine was making at certain rpms.

Thanks Gary, ur right, I am looking for a 330i. Ed showed me a picture of Ben's car today. Not sure where I got the idea it was a 4d. I'm beginning to have doubts if I should get a ZHP, after reading through posts on the subject. My thought are this is the closest I'll get to an M3/4 as I can't afford the one coming out in 09. From the posts, I get the impression that the dealers are on their own in trying to solve the problem.

That is why I got the 330 as it is dependable, has proven itself and it has power that with a Shark or Dinan program will give you very nice performance without the higher insurance cost. But that should be with the 5 or 6 speed manual trans to maximize the power.

Here's an idea of how we can help Flex out:

We ship all of our parts and mods to HIS house for a while. Have your shipper address it to you, c/o Mr. Flex @ his address.

He'll tell Mrs. Flex that people who can't get UPS/FedEx at home are having stuff shipped to him. Mrs. Flex gets used to stuff coming in every so often.

After a while, we can revert to shipping stuff to our own houses again, and at that point, Mr. Flex starts asking his mod parts shippers to send the mods to his house addressed to "us" c/o Mr. Flex... and Mrs. Flex still thinks the stuff is for us.

i think it would be easier for Gary err Flex to ship his stuff to someone elses' place. that way if its something small, there could be an "install" day when a few of his packages arrive. thus the Mrs. would have never seen the parts or the actual installation of said parts. ftw.

No, I actually ended up going with a new one instead. As much as I would have loved to have gotten a 996, I think it might be a touch too focused of a sport bike to be used as a daily commuter, so I got an S2R Monster instead. Good to have something with some pep again, at least until I get my car back...

Being a Modaholic, I had to give myself my weekly fix since I have to wait to get the E28.

So to calm my nerves and stop the shakes I ordered a set of 5mm spacers with lug studs for the front wheels of the 6. This will complete the look of a wide stance as the 15mm in the back brought the tires out nicely, so I just need to bring the front out just a little to finish the look.

I went to Iwantoneofthose's old office and bought one stinkin' FI relay to get the 110 running.

Including tax, 59 smackeroos. :help :eek:

The 110 has only experienced FL Everglades and UT trails, so I'm definitely following, and will take the chicken route bypasses.

I remember back in '78 I went around Kaena Pt. with my '73 Datsun pick up 2wd. My friend that was with me at the time decided to walk to the other side when we got to that narrow 90 degree turn. After seeing a rusted VW at the bottom of the cliff getting pounded by the waves, he became intelligent while I remained and idiot and kept on going. Of course when I got to the other side I made him chase me in my truck for a block or so before I let him back in!

I even took that truck up into Waihole valley up to the tunnels! I had to use my jack a few times, but my truck made it. I also did Alan Davis, but had to fill my bed with rocks for traction to get out of there!

Them were the daze!!

I'm sure your bimmers and Vettes can make it around the Point! :D

Yes they are. I got a call from Will and Mike day before yesterday saying that they had to order ANOTHER batch of parts for it, and that they really appreciated my patience in this ordeal. I'm starting to forget that I even own that car due to the fact that it has been in the shop since the first of this month. :(

I got the S2R800. The 1000 would have been nice, but just a bit much for around here. Plus, they said that they were not willing to get one for me unless I paid for it in advance AND it would take three months for it to get here.

i would LOVE to go on a 4x4 run...but sadly, i dont have a 4x4 anymore...i used to have an 85 jeep cj-7, and used the 4wd on that thing till it broke...then fixed it, and did it some more...

Wow you are old, 78 I wasn't even born yet :confused :rolleyes :lol. When I was an officer in Waianae we had to handle quite a bit of accidents where vehicles fell down the cliff. Thank goodness you weren't one of them. But then again we know who had plans for you. :)

Gene, who were you dealing with there at South Seas? I originally went in and talked with Bill Kato, the sales manager, and he treated me like a gigantic piece of... Well, you get the idea. He is the one that told me I would have to pay in full before they would get me a 1000. I told him that I would want to test ride any bike before I bought it and he said "that simply isn't possible" and turned his back to me. Needless to say I was a bit peeved so I left and told myself "I guess I should go and start looking at Moto Guzzis instead". Anyhow, I met another of the sales guys on a Ducati forum and he hooked me up with a test ride and everything else, so I bought from him. Funny thing is that the sales manager actually had the nerve to say something about this other guy stealing his customer. What a pin-head!

If you end up going down there again, as for Chad Urban and tell him that Ben mentioned his name. Chad is a bit young, but a really good guy none the less. He knows Ducs and is EXTREMELY enthusiastic about them.

30 years ago all the dealerships here would practically beg you to take a test ride, and that was solo with no one else riding alongside you..

Chad hooked me up and told me I could demo any bike I wanted. He did come out and ride with me, but that was actually good seeing as how I do not know that area all that well. We took both bikes the (695 and 800) out for about an hour or so so I could get the feel for them. I am almost thinking that I will have to get Alex one of the baby monsters. ;)
