Could probably get the car for $600-800, needs front end work and airbags, ebay is your friend. I found everything I needed on the bay for less than $400. A hood, front bumper cover maybe, reset the code for the bags so the engine will run and $175 for a pair of used bags.
Clean silver 4 door 98 with auto tranny and allot of miles, like 260k, would be a nice starter for a motorswap car for autocross or whatever.
