Sunbelt/OKSpeed Auto-X - 2007 - Event #5
Thanks to all that came out and made our auto-x a success last Few months! Thanks again to all the OK-Speed guys for supplying timing equipment!
This months auto-x will be July 14th, again at the Sheriff's Training Facility - NW 36th and Air Depot.
We are planning a multi-lap course layout so expect some fun times!
It's going to be hot so don't forget to bring water and of course sun-screen.
Registration and Tech opens at 9:30 closes at 10:30, Drivers Meeting (mandatory) at 10:40, Parade lap at 10:45, First car out at 11:00!
Cost $20 per driver
Number of runs will be determined by course layout, normally 5-6
We will be running 2 heats. If you drive first, you will work second. If you work first you will drive second. There will be only a short break between heats so make certain to bring snacks and drinks.
We will be splitting up cars into the following classes:
BMW - Street (street tires 140 or greater tread wear)
BMW - Race (Slicks, Dot-R or other tires with less than 140 tread wear)
X - All other cars
Penalties for cones knocked over or out of their box = 2 seconds each
4 wheels off = DNF for the run
4 wheels off more than once = DSQ for the event
Drivers and passengers will be required to wear a snell 2000 or greater Helmet. We will have a couple loaners on site.
Please arrive early enough to get registered and have your car teched. To speed up the tech process we request that you remove all loose articles form your vehicle interior and trunk including floor mats prior to running your car through tech. Make sure your battery is tied down, your tires have no cords showing and your vehicle is generally in good mechanical condition.
Waivers. PLEASE make certain to sign the insurance waiver. We will not allow any spectators or drivers to remain at the facility without signing.
We are very lucky to have such a great facility available for our use. Let's all respect the site and make certain to pick up all trash and debris so we can continue to use the site.
