greetings folks! i'm a first time poster and i hope to post more in the future. i have a few questions concerning the E46 M3. i have also posted an identical thread over at E46fanatics.com, but i have not received a reply. i figured i'd get more feedback here, so here are the questions.
is MY 2006 the last model year for the E46 M3? so chances are there are no more brand new vehicles at the dealer's lot?
she is looking for black exterior, red interior, and manual (not smg). is there such a model? and if there is, how difficult is it to find one? i've searched various car sites and did not find a single one.
does the smg have a clutch pedal?
what are the differences between MY 2005 and MY 2006? so if both were used cars with relatively low mileage, is it worth buying the 2006 over the 2005 assuming the price difference is really not significant?
do all E46 M3s come with hid headlights or are these optional equipments?
is there a double din kit for aftermarket navigation in case the car did not come with a factory navi?
why are there price inconsitencies in the used E46 M3 market? for example, a model year 2004 is more expensive than a model year 2005? here is the list of the cars i found below and i can't seem to understand why the cars with higher mileage command a higher price than cars with lower mileage?
2005 vert with less than 13k miles is less expensive than this same model year coupe with 25k miles?. another 2005 model year vert with less than 15k miles and asking price is less than the coupe? i noticed from various car listings that the coupe turned out to be more expensive than the vert, which should be the other way around correct? now here is another ad that i found. a 2004 vert with a bit more than 31k miles. why is the price close or comparable to the two 2005 verts in my previous links?
NOTE: the site does not allow me to post links. those cars i posted above are links to yahoo car advertisements.
any help is appreciated. thank you!
ps
she is open to model year 2004 - 2006 and factory navi is not mandatory provided that double din dash can be installed without extensive modifications in the dash. however, a black exterior, red interior, coupe and manual is preferred.
