From MBF:
The second annual Midwest Bimmer Festivus is only a little over a month away. MBF 2007 will be held at Grand Prix Speedway just out side of St. Louis in Earth City, MO. Although we had a great venue in 2006, Grand Prix Speedways offers state of the art indoor kart racing, arcade games, locker rooms, conference rooms with HD projection television, and more. The location is also near hotels, casinos, shopping, and other great attractions.
Registration for 2007 will be $25. This will include parking in the MBF corral, an MBF T-Shirt made by FUEL | EUR | EGO, a catered lunch by Grand Prix Speedways, access to the MBF conference room, unlimited soda and water, and more.
For just $10 more, you can participate in the MBF 2007 Karting Tournament. This will be conducted in Grand Prix Speedway’s state of the art electric karts on their indoor, quarter mile, road course style track. The tournament includes race training, race equipment (kart, driving suit, helmet, etc), 2 qualifying races, 1 championship race, and a year membership to Grand Prix Speedways. That’s over a $100 value for just 10 bucks! No previous experience is required to participate. Sign up quickly, because space is limited.
Details for MBF 2007
When: August 18, 2007
Where: Grand Prix Speedways, Earth City, MO

JedzE36/5 07-09-2007, 03:55 PM its not bad on gas but its not the best thing out there. ill see if i really want to take both cars up there.
Phamster 07-09-2007, 05:23 PM I'm going reguardless if my car is still under constuction ;). If my car is not ready, I hope i can ride with someone.
JedzE36/5 07-09-2007, 05:30 PM oh so how did your meeting w/kyle go?!????????? :)
Phamster 07-09-2007, 06:01 PM oh so how did your meeting w/kyle go?!????????? :)
Pretty good, depending on if my lil bro gets another car so that i can have a different daily driver. It's either going to be like your setup or a complete rebuilt that i can do over time.
SWISS 07-09-2007, 10:56 PM Ok I am looking into this and need people to chime in and let me know. No floor squatters in my spot biotches!!
(And no you can't sleep in the E30)
:shifty
TechnoM3Girl 07-10-2007, 12:10 AM man i really wanna go but i need to talk to bran first and we have to make sure the touring is in good enough condition to go.
SWISS 07-10-2007, 11:28 AM We're only doin 1 night right? 17th?
JedzE36/5 07-10-2007, 11:30 AM well MBF is the 18th. i plan on staying the night of the 18th too and come back Sunday the 19th since i will probably be up all day the 18th.
SWISS 07-10-2007, 12:01 PM Ok so we drive up on the 18th or 17th?
JedzE36/5 07-10-2007, 12:11 PM 17th. i am planning on 2 nights in St Louis. thats just me though.
JedzE36/5 07-10-2007, 09:45 PM OK registration for MBF is open! i am updating the OP with information from the registration email i recieved. it is going to be a blast!!!!
Eryan36 07-11-2007, 02:07 AM If I can get away from RA training I'm in. I'll find out about that as soon as I can.
TechnoM3Girl 07-11-2007, 08:57 PM so what time is everyone leaving on friday?
JedzE36/5 07-11-2007, 09:46 PM it is an 8 hour drive straight through. i figure people will need to get gas/eat once so it may take 8.5 - 9 hours. for those confirmed to go (we will be making hotel arrangements together so if you say you are going and back out last minute after the arrangments are made, you still have to help w/hotel), we will have a meet in a few weeks. to discuss logistics.
JedzE36/5 07-13-2007, 10:04 AM If I can get away from RA training I'm in. I'll find out about that as soon as I can.
that would be awesome!
JedzE36/5 07-16-2007, 04:54 PM just a reminder to those i talked to,
dont forget to register for MBF. the link is in the original post.
Phamster 07-16-2007, 06:19 PM Register completed! To bad i will be rowing in a 318ti and not a 328ti with you to St. Louis. ;)
JedzE36/5 07-16-2007, 06:22 PM you dont want to rush the swap.
Phamster 07-16-2007, 06:34 PM you dont want to rush the swap.
I aint, I think the plan is your setup without the rebuilt motor. Save as much as I can for tuition...
Cali330ti 07-16-2007, 06:45 PM If you're going to go with a used motor just make sure to divvy up and replace ALL maintenance items. All the bolt-ons just give a bit more power.....you want to be able to actually use that swap. If anyone could be made example of it'd be me. Especially cause it's your daily. The entire process start to finish isn't just some weekend swap. It NEVER is. All of this is just preparation. If you're scraping into your college fund for this....well....it's none of my business. Good luck.
JedzE36/5 07-16-2007, 06:50 PM i agree. if you arent rebuilding the motor then you dont need all the extras. i think at least until you are done with school, you will happy with the power of the stock M52. hell its a lot more than the 4 cylinder.
JedzE36/5 07-16-2007, 06:50 PM ben you going to make it? assuming your motor is back in the car.
Phamster 07-16-2007, 06:59 PM i agree. if you arent rebuilding the motor then you dont need all the extras. i think at least until you are done with school, you will happy with the power of the stock M52. hell its a lot more than the 4 cylinder.
I'm so excited! I'm going to be part of the swap Ti's family :D
Cali330ti 07-16-2007, 07:13 PM ben you going to make it? assuming your motor is back in the car.
It won't be by MBF. So....no. All money goes to prepare for O-fest. The car will drive down there on its own power and I will be driving in some of the events. Not to mention I will be driving at a couple HST's and the Auto-x's before hand.
JedzE36/5 07-16-2007, 09:07 PM we need to get a group going down there too. i plan on going to O-Fest. such a short drive.
TechnoM3Girl 07-17-2007, 12:24 AM does anyone know approximately how much the hotel rooms are running? im sure if turns out that we do go then we would need a room also.
i still need to know about what time everyone is planning on leaving from ok. just curious because i dont get off till 7pm and thats usually if im lucky on fridays. seems like every friday there is always a case running late.

is this statement still accurate?
also swiss due to pressure from my gf and sister, i went ahead and got a hotel today. it is right beside MBF and was less than $100.00/night for the room. place is Candlewood Suites in Earth City, MO. i figured the price was pretty much the same as the deal you told me. let me know what your plans are. possibly you, troy, and vbrock in a room... or we may be able to try and squeeze all in one room (its a suite).
let me know y'all.
