I have to drive down to Greensboro, NC this week. Google wants to take me down 95 to 85 to 40 into Greensboro. However, I noticed on the map it says something about Blue Ridge near Roanoke, so I'm assuming the city is in the mountains. I saw I could take 30 out west to 81 then go south to Roanoke then 220 south to Greensboro. I'm hoping that route would be mountainous, I like mountains and would probably make for nicer scenery.
Is it? Also, is 220 a secondary road with traffic lights and such or does it move fairly well? I'd have to travel it for about 100 miles. If it's traffic light laden it would be a PITA.
Thanks!
