My 76' 02 is pretty nice with little rust. I am beginning resto and the car will obviously need paint. Last night I decided too buff some compound with a wheel on the Car. Do you BMW fellas think this is a good idea? Boise, is very dry with low humidity. It looks better...I am concerned about creating more of our ominous problem, Rust. Also, I drove by a nice 74ish in the hood didn't stop, I provide more info on this ride.

Check out this forum. There is a whole world of detailing stuff going on out there and this is a good place to hook into it. You may be able to make the paint look very good until you you feel like investing in paint.
