Hi all,

New to the forum and so far so great!!! In fact, I just purchased my 4th BMW but my first 540i 6spd. Anyway, the Xenons are great, but the driver side points way to much at the ground and I have limited visibility. Anyone have any pointers on how to adjust it??? Or what I should do?

Thanks in advance!!!

It's called "Search". I personally adjust my headlights in the dark (of course) on a straight level road ~ 1 mile long, and you want the passenger side a little higher then the driver side. You can adjust them until you get the bights from oncoming traffic and then lower them from there. Your low beams should go 75-100’. Your highs you’ll take care of the rest.

Check out bmwtips.com , there's a diy on HID aiming.

The adjusters may be broken on that headlamp. Does the bulb assembly jiggle around inside it?

the left side is supposed to be a little lower than the right side, but if its too low check bmwtips.com

Thanks for all the help. No movement or anything, its just significantly lower on the driver side. I will check out BMWtips and go from there...Thanks again!!
