yes the stock diff will hold up. It is the same mid case diff albeit maybe not LSD. I am assuming you are talking about a 325i/IS/328i/is

I'm assuming the diff mount might not fair so well. Can it be welded with a simple Home depot MIG welder? If so, great, I own one.
So can I get away with just swapping out the front driveshaft instead of the whole front/back peices. In my 535i. the rear shaft is the same even though some applications had different front shafts for different trannys.

I am looking for something with preferably under or around 75k miles. Let me know what you have, and an idea of pricing. Also out of curiosity what you would charge for instalation. My plan was to make it into a project, but if a full swap can be done at a reasonable price, I may go that way.
