hi i have just bought my first 1991 bmw 520i. great car.
i have just noticed that the wipers on speed 1 only go intermitent and should be moving continuous. on speed 2 they move as they should wich is faster and continuous.
please can anyone help as to what may be the problem.

I know that on my 94 540, they slow switch to intermittent when I stop then go back to regular speed when I take off again. Bentley says the instrument cluster gives the signal, although the one I have doesn't cover the 91 520. Anyway, I am sure someone out there has the appropriate manal. That is what it sounds like to me though...

I'd say so. I have a '92 520i and the wipers do return to normal when I build up speed.
