Are all the stock intake manifolds plastic?
I know the 540i e39 is,How are people getting away with not blowing them up with positive pressure boost and n2o?
1 backfire and its gonna be in quite a few pieces.

Just wondering if maybe theyre sone superstrong polytitanium plastic or something:)

I've never heard of anyone blowing up the intake manifolds.

Hell, I've blown chunks of piston and block up into my intake manifold and it was fine, just need to clean up the manifold afterwards.

there was one member on this board who went to install a nitrous setup on his 325 (?). only problem is that the solenoid was active/open the whole time the gas was connected so when he went to crank the car, the intake manifold exploded, literally. he posted pics and it was pretty gruesome....not sure who it was.
