has anyone put E85 in there car? by tuneing their EMS is this possible? and what octane is the E85?

There are a lot of reasons not to run a stock car on E85. Even with engine tuning there are a lot of things that need changed. Ethanol tends to be fairly hard on rubber (especially injector parts) and aluminum.

You cannot compare the octanes directly - it is misleading. E85 has much higher latent heat of vaporization, but somewhat lower stored energy (as measured by volume I believe)

The net result is you end up injecting about 50% more fuel, and running more timing. You do get much cooler temps though, so for boosted cars it's a decent option.
