I filled the tank at mile 1 and really did not use the wiper spray except to see the headlight spritzers come up and work. At around 500 miles the low fluid indicator came up. I went to "top off the tank" thinking that it was still probably mostly full and it took a full gallon to fill up the tank. Where did all the fluid go? I checked the level this morning and it hadn't gone done at all. I used the hell out of the washer fluid (sprayed the headlamps and windshield about 5 times) and I checked the fluid again--not much was gone.

Anyone else have similar issues?

I have had my 335 for 6 months and maybe used the washer fluid once (I hate when cars get coated with it and rather just pull into a gas station and wipe my window). Anyways, last month the low fluid light popped on, plus I had a brake issue so I took my car to the dealer. The car they gave me as soon as I left threw up the low fluid light. Next morning I took my wifes 525 to work and its washer fluid light came on. Maybe BMW just wants all of us to add washer fluid in june so we have it for the bug season....

My drivers side headlamp washer is leaking. I didn't notice it at all until I had parked the car on the sidewalk (with drivers side still on the road). The leaning of the car must have made the difference as a steady leak came out.

I used the washers a few times and got the warning light. Have you ever filled the bladder yourself? Its like a bottomless pit! It keeps going and going and going and.....................................!!

The washers really don't use that much fluid. Pop the cap and do a before/after comparison after using the washers (with lamps on) and you don't even see much of a difference.

The washer tank holds 2 gallons which is a lot. I got the warning light after a few thousand miles in bug infested country but I suspect that it wasn't full as delivered.
