Weird. As above, how did they gain access?

I believe it was my ex. I started driving when I heard a strange noise, the red oil light came on and then the check engine light. I drove to autozone and lift the hood and discover the mess. I also notice sugar in the gas tank. The car is being inspected. What can be done to save my car.

Ouch, sugar in the tank! The car is probably a writeoff. Hopefully you have enough evidence to sue. :(

I saw mythbusters run a whole tank of gas with sugar through an engine and it never even had a hiccup, of course I'm sure it wasn't good for it!

AFAIK,sugar with gas produced gum like sticky by product that would definitely ruin the fuel pump, filter, pipes, injectors and probably contaminate the engine compartment beyond repair. Not everything the mythbusters do is accurate, but I could be wrong. Luckily never had to learn 1st hand the effects of that.

Yeah, they don't use much of a scientific method, but when you see a tank full of gas and sugar run dry right on camera it's pretty surprising. I'm sure you wouldn't want to do it regularly!

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned...

Wow, just goes to show you huh? This is why I don't like to date anyone without thorough consideration. Oh my goodness...I can't believe a woman would be so malicious.

Good luck brother...

OK From the oil side;
You need to drop the sump plug and do a system flush. Strain the oil through a ver fine filter as it comes out so you can use the newer oil as a reflush to ensure everything comes out. You may want to drop the entire sump off the vehicle to be more thorough.
With the fuel, diconnect the fuel line from you fuel tank, it will allow you to drain the contaminated fuel and then fill and flush again if you think you need it.

Hope it all works out.

Cheers,

If he does that, she'll really go ballistic.
