View Full Version : My 2002 is for sale
MattP2002 07-04-2007, 09:07 PM I haven't posted on here in a while, but I'm selling my 2002. I'd like it to go to an enthusiast that has time to drive it and enjoy it. (hey Andy, you need to buy it!)
If anyone knows somebody that's in the market, I'd appreciate if they pass on this listing. Thanks!

zambo 07-04-2007, 09:48 PM Very pretty car - can't beat an unmolested chamonix roundie IMHO.
Good luck with the sale - I am sure there are plenty out there looking for an 02 that will find yours attractive.
Might help a bit if you provide a price guide for those interested in it to get the ball roling.
Cheers
Richard

I need a carpet set and need to know what color your set is. and where did you buy it? It looks like it has some splotches of color in there, can you describe it to me, or send (or post) a more close up pic of it?
BTW: Good Luck with your sale!!

MattP2002 07-05-2007, 01:01 PM It's the carpet kit that Bimmer Parts Co. used to sell before they were bought by Maximilian. I don't know if they still sell it. It's the salt & pepper color, very close match in color to the original carpet. Unfortunately it was a larger synthetic loop rather than the tighter wool loop that the original is. The fit of the kit was okay, I had to do a lot of cutting on the rocker panel pieces to get everything to fit.
BEMveE39 07-05-2007, 03:32 PM wow man your car is really nice....

I just got my E30 seats back from Jim's Auto Upholstery in San Diego and they are an Indigo blue color. I was thinking they would be darker and more like a royal blue, so now it's carpet shopping time.
The Navy blue stuff that's in there now looks like crap and is poorly cut and fitted, and I don't want to mount the seats until I have a carpet kit that'll better match this blue. Yeah, I know it looks like gray but if you focus on the darkest part of the passenger seat....THAT is the actual color. The reflection and glare make it look more gray than it really is.
Here is the Trinidad blue that seems to be a close match: http://www.auto-interior.com/images/trinadadblue.jpg

Looks like I'll have a 2-tone interior, considering I have royal blue / navy blue door panels. :rolleyes

Hi Tom
Just replied to the PM - and asked about your flight plans - sorry, should have looked here first. Do you have "digs" for the evening of the 25th?
Thanks for the link!!!

nice color...if you'll go to this site http://www.accmats.com/ you'll find a "LIVE CHAT" button at the top right, they are the supplier for the 1st link i gave you...they will send you as many samples as you want....you'll have them within a few days of asking, they're very fast
have you considered dying your door panels...sem vinyle and leather dye has several shades of blue...you can stop at an auto paint shop and pick up one of the sem color charts

That's very pretty, for a white car ;-)
Nicer than my molested one.

That's very nice for a "molested" one Ray. You can't beat white cars - especially when it comes to matching paint during repairs/resprays.
Though my wife reckons they show the dirt too much (she has a white car also). I am not sure about that - I have a black Volvo C70 which is instantly dusty 5 minutes after a detail!
tommozza 07-07-2007, 05:22 AM Blacky has barely come out of garage and its filthy! Black looks bloody brilliant when its clean though... all five minutes of it!

Black is worse. Trust me.
