Just pulled from my car, but I still have the original instructions and box that it came in. It was installed in my car for maybe a month, and I never could get it to work quite right. 80% of the time it worked perfectly, but 20% of the time it would go "chirp chirp chirp" every 30 seconds or so. Everything I read points to a bad door/hood switch on my car, somewhere, but I couldn't find it and have gotten tired of screwing with it.
I mean, really all I wanted was a keyless entry anyway.
Anyway, it's the Stellar BMWSTX-C which allows you to close the sunroof/windows via a button on the FOB. I have two FOBs, one works, the other has a dead battery (never replaced it since I only have one key).
It's $320 at Bavarian Autosport (http://www.bavauto.com/shop.asp), which is where I bought it. I'm going to sell it for less, since while I'm pretty sure it's something in my car that is causing it to go off, I can't say 100% for sure it's not the alarm brain. I'm not sure how the warrenty works on it, honestly, there was all this jibber-jabber in the manual about 'authorized resellers'. :(
Stellar is pretty useless for tech support, although they did correspond with me, unlike Bavarian Autosport. Thankfully it's an easy enough install, just plug the harness into the stock factory port. The car must be "PreWired for Alarm" (see trunk).
