What Replacement Brake Fluid Do I Use? ledfut 06-27-2007, 09:33 AM Unless you're actually planning to bleed your brakes, you shouldn't need any fluid for a brake job. Any DOT4 fluid should be OK. I use ATE super blue / gold. Buy more than 1 liter (1.5L to 2L) if you're doing a complete bleed. Choose one with a different color from what you already have, so you can verify that the fluid has reached the caliper. To ensure that all of the old fluid is out of the system, I would also bleed the clutch, but I guess that's your call. Protect your paintwork at all times... Smoody 06-27-2007, 09:42 AM I also use the ATE fluid. It is probably overkill for the street, but a requirement for the track. bluelou 06-27-2007, 10:24 AM Tks, For The Info! The pedal felt a lot more solid after the change. |
