The Z3 drives are fun, open to pretty much any German car :) The last one in 2002 (my first drive also) had a new bug and a CLK along with the 2-seaters.

Cincinnati has a lot of fun hills. Columbus feels like the whole city is flat.

I'm not sure if I'll be in Ohio that weekend... It's tempting though :)

I've only been on 1 Z3 drive, and it was an awesome time!! I managed to keep up with the M-Roadsters that were leading the pack, although I spent a good bit of the time sideways ;) Our CCA chapter is awesome though. I've been involved since last summer. It's a great time. We do all kinds of stuff, and kudos to the officers for doing such a great job! (;) -jb)

From Cinci to Cleveland...hrm...Mapquest give me about 250 miles, so that should equate to 4 hours. In the wee hours of the morn' you could probably shave a bit off that :D

To get some Cleveland and Columbus people in - what about a Hocking Hills Drive? I have a great set of plans from a friend in the porsche club that maps out some awesome roads. Come May it will be beautiful with everything back to green. Who is in for that?

Hocking Hills has some great back roads, but I do not know my way around very well. Looking forward to meeting more Ohio BMW people.

I would think that if you had an issue with the way other and I felt you handled that situation, you would rather have that discussion one-on-one rather than in public. Yes, you did come through in the end and I do applaud you for that; however I will not be relaying to you an apology for the statements that I made that were critical of how you handled the situation, as I stand by them. Here is why I'm upset with you. You neither made nor offered any support to the TbR project, yet you felt the right to heap on insults when the chips were down. I wouldn't be upset if you had posted along the lines of "bum deal, I hope he gets it sorted out", but for you to have called me a "amoral jerkoff" and other personal attacks is just plain wrong. I don't know you, you don't know me. Instead of emailing me (I've made my email address so public that it hurts, BL5194@aol.com) with your concerns about how it was going down, you got personal. So yes, when you sign up for an event the I put together (neither Chris or I make a single penny from the events, we do them for the general good of the community we consider to be friends), I get pissed. I'm not asking you to say that you're sorry for being critical of the fiasco that was TbR, I'm asking you to apologize for calling me names. If you feel that you're unable to do that, please don't come. If you can man up and say that you're sorry (I did, it doesn't hurt), we'll shake hands and put it behind us. Hell, I might even put a TbR shirt in your hands.

I don't need to rehash the detail of TbR - those that know know, and those that don't can wonder. I will say that my "amoral jerk-off" comment came at a time when you were not responding here and when you did respond, you did come through. Since you did, I will retract and apologize for that statement here publicly. You are right that there isn't room for name calling here. I know you have apologized for your handling of the TbR program.

I'm sure you're not as bad a guy as you seemed during the fiasco, and I'll bet I'm not the ogre I'm sure you think I am. With our shared geography, it is best for us and all that "we just get along".

Renee, this Dublin weather is Horrible. I have put about 100 miles in the past two months on my car and it is my daily driver. My wife has to take me to work like I am back in grade school.

I don't care where the drive is as long as we can stretch the car out a bit. I just want to be able to go WOT again, or at least above 3000 RPM.

Do you have snow tires on your M? I have not seen any M3s this winter at all, I normally see a few in the winter. This one has been rough!

I do not care for SUVs, but resorted to driving my BFs 2002 Pathfinder since my Jetta got stuck in the slush on our street last week. I guess SUVs arn't all bad ;)

Have we met? Do you go to the Roosters BMW gatherings?

Renee, I purchased a set 16 inch rims, but ran out of $$ to get the snow tires, so hopefully by next winter the snow will not be as much of a problem with a nice set of snow tires.

We have not met, but I have been to Chris's house several times. He helped me with my alarm and short shifter. I also plan on going to the dent and dyno day. Your car is on www.understeer.com and looks very nice.

My wife drives an RX300, and though it is not an off-road brute, it has yet to get stuck in the snow. I have gotten stuck on our driveway trying to get into the garage and have to back up to get momentum from the street.

Ludicious, are you coming to Dent Fest in Columbus? The event keeps getting better and better! :D

but now im back at school....i dont know if anybody of you knew but i was suspended for a quarter here at OU in athens.... but now im back...unfortunatly without my car....cause athens and a lowered car along wiith a front lip....doesnt mix.....

but hey i am always down for anything as long as i am available....ill be home easter weekend and then ill be back home for the summer in the begining of june!!!! i am always down....

and i will defently vouch for some awesome roads down here.... if im not being retarded...hocking hills is practicly right on top of athens.... and when i did have my car down here last year and fall quarter for a little bit i always went driving..... some amazing twisties..... i made the 4 hour drive from cleveland to athens in under 3 hours...lol...

Sorry guys-- Been out of town for the past two weeks. I had a Monte Carlo for a rental. I did a number on the rotors...

I also learned the difference between a rental car and a 4x4- A rental car will go ANYWHER!!

Yeah I'll be at the Metallica show on the 19th of July. I got a fraternity bro of mine who lives in Columbus to go with me. I can crash at his house.

Also, I can't go to Dent Fest & Dyno Day- I'm closing on my first house tomorrow, and we'll be moving like crazy this week. It kind of sucks because I've been noting all the little dings on my car...oh well. I'll have to catch it next time around :(
