So I need to redo all four wheels of my car. I'd like to put new shocks/struts/springs/bushings on my car, and as if that didn't cost enough, having a shop do it will double, maybe even triple the cost. My buddies and I did my old Galant suspension all in one night at 2am in the middle of the street. I'd like to do something similar with the BMW.

I'm looking for anyone in the Seattle area who has done this before, and can help me with mine. I will provide all parts and tools, and I will also help as best I can. I can't really afford to give you money for it, but I will buy your food for the day and also a night of drinks on me as well. I have a wide open private parking lot at my apartment where we can work, and plenty of light if it gets dark. I have a hydrolic jack and a basic wratchet set, and I will buy whatever other tools we need.

If I can get someone who will commit to helping me with this, I will then proceed to purchase the parts and we can arrange a date. Essentially, I need to get this all done in one day, or at most 2 days. Either way, at the end of the day, I need to be able to drive the car. So, we can do like, the front two wheels first, break for the day and then the next day we can complete to rear two wheels.

My reason for all of this is because for one, I would like to lower my front so I will be putting on lowering springs, new struts and bushings. For two, my rear suspension is sagging and I would like to again, replace the shocks and bushings but instead of lowering springs, just normal factory springs for the rear. I had this same kind of setup on the Galant and it gave me an awesome result.

Like I said, I can't afford to give you straight up money for the job, but I will do what I can for you and hey, at the very least, you have a friend to gain with a similar interest. :)

Thank you in advance!!

Ill help you do it, you buy lunch and beer. I own my own shop that we can use. What day you want to work on it?

Wow, you have a shop? With a lift??? *prays*

First I have to get the parts, then we can figure out a day that's convenient for you.

I will buy as much lunch and beer as you want. I never have a problem buying people beer... =)

Now here comes the part where you laugh at me...

Exactly what parts should I get? I just want to make sure I don't miss anything. Obviously for the front, I'll need springs, struts and bushings. When I was getting my oil changed the other day, though, the guy was confused by the rear suspension he kept saying "No shock no shock". He was foreign and spoke horrific english, but he was indicating that the rear suspension was different from the suspension I'm used to on rice cars.

Just a little guidance please... =)

You guys rock thank you so much for offering to help me.

I was going to jump in, but looks like you have the help you need.
Besides, I only have garage and jackstands...LOL Good luck, it's not difficult (of course I have changed mine 3 f*ing times). If you still need help let me know.
