does anyone know about the e38 blue/cream leather with blue carpets? i've only seen one or two 7ers like this online (came across by chance) and can't find them when i actually try.

The Highline package consisted of bue or green paint, Ecru leather, and pipng and carpets to match the paint. I think it was a ~$3500ish option on 740s and no cost on 750s.

You'll only find the Highline option on 7's that are Orinocco (Sea Green) or Midnight Blue. The look is awesome and on a 750, since it was a no-cost option, I can't for the life of my figure out why anyone would buy a car one of those two colors and NOT get the option. Takes all kinds, I guess.

It is the only major option I wish I had on my 750 but don't. If I can ever pick up the seats from a wrecked blud Highline, I'm thinking to swap my cream seats out for the cream with the blue piping. My car already has the blue carpet. The mix of blue & cream is different though, with more cream in my car and less blue. I think it would look great with the Highline seats - even better than the real Highline.

The Highline package is harder to find on the 740, especially in green. It seems about half of the blue 750's have it but less than a quarter of the blue 740's. Just my observation.
