E38 Alternator
My 2001 E38 has had an alternator failure. - (charge 10.5v ), - probably a diode failure. Do they re-condition them? At only 96K I am not impressed with the original, or is this normal. Maybe my Subaru has spoilt me with its reliability. Although I'm in Australia, I would welcome comments from others.

Your subarus electrical load is nowhere near what an e38's is. Yes, there are reconditioned alternators out there.
