I've got a soldering iron in San Diego if no one else chimes in.

soldering isnt that difficult if you'd like to DIY. soldering guns are like 10-15 bucks (it'll get the job done unless you're soldering, say high-end batteries...then you need a good one.)

don't use the gun to melt the solder. wire..heat the metal that's to be soldered with the gun (either the wire...or the metal tab you want to solder on) so that when the solder wire touches it, the heated tab/wire melts it. a good solder job will look like a dull metal.

it's pretty easy and cheap to get the hang of...

hope that helps! :)

that actaully does sound easy, though im kinda scared to mess up. is it just the opposite of that to de-solder the old capacitor?

You can get solder wick to soak up the old solder. You can Google it, it just looks kinda like braided wire rope.
