Jim, I have an '05 330i with sport package and am using the stock staggered 7.5/8.5 17 inch rim setup. I have new Dunlop 245/40 SP 8080E tires in the rear; in the front I have new Dunlop 225/45 SP 2000E tires. I don't know why the dealer used 2000Es in the front, maybe they didn't have the 8080E in the front size. Is it acceptable to use this combination? or should I buy some 8080Es for the front?

I have put about 600 miles on the car since these tires were installed and they "seem" OK but it's a bit soon to tell. I haven't tried them on anything but dry pavement so I don't know how they will behave in the rain.
