Well guys, I think I am going to keep the e21 for a long time. I've done a bit of research and thinking and I am going to build my 320i into an SCCA F Production car. I was already considering it when my dad saw a local SCCA magazine, and low and behold, one of his friends from high school was a district president! We went down and visited him for a bit, and that pretty much sealed the deal on his end. We just put up a fence to hide the car, because I got a citation for a "junk" car (pft, it is totally operable), so now all I have to do is find a source of income.:help My dad is already paying for the karting, so I am taking this project on (financially) all by myself.
I'll get some pics up as the process goes.

yeah, the 320i does pretty well in FSP (might help if you have a strong stock motor...and/or run that 'cheater' cam for the m10)

F Production allows you to build the engine up a certain amount. I would estimate probably around 140hp, possibly more.

that's what I was thinking. you can run a 40 IDF, so I could get even more power. My plans are to build the car up chassis-wise before I even do anything major to the engine (besides like, header, port/polish, and rocker arm retainers). I might try to find another engine and then build that up instead.
