Hi everyone,

I recently "joined the club" and picked up a E39 540i 6speed. She needs some new shoes. Currently it has PZero Nero on all 4. Stock 18" sport wheels. The tires are just about bald on the rears and past the wear bars in the front. Considering no tread left, the Nero's grab a lot better than I expect. As I said I am new to the club tho and just getting to know the bimmer experience, and likely to be impressed regardless.

Ive got it narrowed down to sticking with the pZero Nero or the BFG RE750s. This is a fair/wet weather 3 season only car. Primarily the fun/play car. From the reviews the Potenzas, even being a 340 rated tire seem to be no compromise as far as road hold and stability. I dont mind spending a G on tires, but I hope they last more than 15k miles. The 220 rating on the pZero's makes me hesitant.

As far as tirerack reviews go they are comparable in every way. The 750s will cost me $200 less and last another ~10k miles. Can anyone offer any input on your driving experience with either tires? Thanks to all.
