Just changed the tranny mounts last night. god the old mounts were completely distroyed.....when I pullud the bolts off the cross member it just fell to the ground wih half the mounts still attached.

but to my surprise, I notice my car does not have a flex disc(guibo) the driveshaft just bolts to the tranny.

I have a 1989 535i auto.....anyone else know if this is just year, model or that its an auto why it has no flex disc?

It is inside of the flex disc vibration damper.

E34 535 automatic cars don't have guibos/flex disks.

E32 535 manual cars do have guibos, and they also have the extra (removable) dampener that de Witt mentions.

It is inside of the flex disc vibration damper.

I am taking out the driveshaft this weekend.........where is the vibration damper located?? I searched on realoem and did not see it.
