Hello geeks

I would like to paint with shiny aluminium finish of my inlet manifold in 1990,BMW 525i.Does it going to affect any performance.pls advice.

Gives at least 25 horsepower to the wheels. :shifty

Seriously unless you are changing the material or having it shine in direct sunlight it shouldn't do a thing to your performance. I could see why you are so concerned about every last horsepower with that M20 though! If you are concerned about performance at all, I would recomend trading to a different car. Anything short of a turbo or engine swap will prove to be a waste on a 90 525i.

I wouldn't bother unless you want to paint other engine parts to match - it will stand out in a very bad way. Either way, a painted on "shiny aluminum finish" will make whatever it's applied to look cheesy and shitty. Don't do it mang.
