I spoke with a couple of different distributors and found conflicting information. My rims are 17 x 7.5 and was looking at getting the yokohama AVS ES100's in 235/40/17. I just spoke with someone from a national tire distributor and was told that 235 REQUIRES an 8 inch rim width and won't fit my 7.5. He recommended 225/45/17.
I've spoken to other stores and distributors who said the 235 would fit. What's the dilio??? :az:
Will 235/40/17's fit or do I need 225/45/17's? Which is recommended?

I think 235/40/17 was the standard tire size on the 1995 M3.

I'm running 225/45/17 on my 17x7.5s.

G.P. is correct . The 95 M3 used a 235/40R7 on a 17X7.5 wheel so obviously they work.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you
