What you said doesn't really make sense. There is no point in mounting a keyless system in the trunk. All your wires can be found under the steering column and kick panel or under the backseat. It would be install in one of those two locations.

Yes, that alarm will work but its a cheap alarm. Do not expect lots of range from those remotes.

I had the same *cheap* alarm system for my e30. I loved it, the install was a breeze and for me range wasn't an issue since the locks were getting sticky and inoperable. Overall, the quality isn't that bad for the money, I highly recommend it. I believe it works with e34; just ask for model specific instructions when you check out on ebay.
