forumjp59 06-18-2007, 11:47 AM Anyone have any recomendations for where to get wheels painted/powdercoated...Im in central jersey so anything around there would be awsome...USA wheels wants 170 a wheel soooo im tryin to find something a little cheaper.
Petey Pop 06-18-2007, 03:01 PM ^^Thats acctually pretty cheap. I know of a place that only specializes in wheels and is the best in the east cost (located in New Rochelle) but it might cost you more than 170. Still interested?

z0lt3c 06-18-2007, 06:58 PM I've got a guy I use in Texas who is so cheap it's usually worth it to ship things back and forth but wheels my be another story;

He did both of my valve covers for $40. That includes bead blasting, prep and powder coating. I sent him the most disgusting beat-up valve covers I've ever seen and got back something substantially better. I was very happy.

Horrible work... I had a rim repaired there... after a couple of months the paint started to peel and crack

These guys are the BEST. I had a mishap on the NJ Turnpike and thrashed two wheels on my old e46 sedan. They were better than the OEM wheels that came on the car when I got them back. The powdercoat and clear was impeccable. I recommend them 200%. SUPER nice people too!

i wish i would have seen this sooner. I dropped my style 5's off there June 29th, he told me they'd be ready by the 14th. I called the 14th to pick them up, "no theyre not ready yet early next week theyll be done". I called 19th and theyre not ready yet but he promised theyll be ready today. I call today and oh no theyre not ready yet monday monday.
They havent even touched them yet, I'm really considering picking them up right now and taking my money back since i told them i need them on my car for sunday at Waterfest.

I'm not going to bother posting my pictures, the wheels look good when i got them back. But i would never recommend this place to anybody, not even an enemy.
I've gotten into 3 altercations with these people the last almost resulting in a fight, because they wouldn't put the tires back on they told me to go to a tire shop down the road.

thats why I have people remove them before the give them to me :D
its one less thing I have to be liable for.
KR98E36 07-25-2007, 01:21 AM thats not good business ethic if you'd ask me
i specifically told this shopi wanted the tires back on and the manager said no problem. Then when i pick them up i had to ask them where did you put my tires....meanwhile theyre hidden in the back when i come to pick them rims up.
