On my way back from a friends house, I was stuck in traffic, and noticed my temp gauge, its full (RED) and noticed some smoke in the bay, so I stop and popped the hood (carefully) and there wasn't much smoke. I managed to get my self out of traffice, and into a local road, drove for like 10 mins, and parked the car!

Any clue what it could be

- there wasn't much smoke
- when I press the gas, I hear a lil "kit kit" noise


I left the car all alone, I wonder what it could be?

well as in all things BMW the first thing you want to make sure of is that it is not the head gasket...
so check your oil and see if you are mixing...

if you are good there then you are home free....

drain everything and refill.. that will probably be your best bet.
