View Full Version : 2007 Audi A4?
2005 330iZHP 06-17-2007, 09:26 PM I was wondering if anyone here has driven one of the new 2007 Audi A4's? I have been looking at those and I was wondering what other people have thought of them and if there are any known problems with them (mechanical, electrical, ect). I was looking at a 2.0 Quattro S-Line.
xplosiveg06 06-19-2007, 11:01 PM i have one as my daily driver i picked up in november. im at 10k miles now and have had no problems at all.
mines a 2.0 quattro 6spd
I leased one in Feb. 2.0T S-Line with DSG. Fun little car. Great in the rain. Coming up to 6k miles and no problems yet. I'm not chipped but the engine is fine for daily driving. Scoots along nicely but over 60mph hammering the throttle won't push you back in your seat. It will get up to speed though and it feels very stable going 100mph.
Audi dropped the free maintenance plan but I added it to my lease ($550) and it raised my residual 1% and my monthly payments by about $6/mo so it was a no brainer.
Cupholders work great. One thing to note, in the '07 models they dropped the reverse tilt passenger mirror and also memory seats. No rear seat heaters either.
S-Line suspension is stiff with the 18's but far from punishing. Body roll is controlled although some people like to put RS4 sways on it (I haven't felt the need to). Gas mileage is good too, I get about 25mpg overall with mixed driving and I'm hoping it improves as the engine breaks in some more. Most people complain that the engine is noisy or vibrates a lot but I don't notice it much at all and feel that it falls in line with most 4 cylinder engines.
Mine also has the navigation which works fine but not as well as the ones in Acuras/Hondas. Navigation is not touch screen. SD card reader works well for reading your mp3's. No IPod input in mine but I use the SD cards anyways.
bmwleethaxor777 08-18-2007, 05:09 PM oh man i test drove a six speed 3.2 quattro the gear throws are a bit long but comfortable. the seats are nice and comfortable hold you in good. the exhaust sounds nice at wot. it pulled like mad , felt alot faster than a 330i zhp i test drove the same day. its a very nice car pretty sporty would be a great daily driver.
2005 330iZHP 08-21-2007, 07:30 PM Does anyone know if the traction control is defeatable? Are any of the other control systems defeatable? Thanks! :D

2005 330iZHP 10-23-2007, 03:48 PM ... guess no one knows.
AvusBlauS50 10-23-2007, 09:48 PM My friend has a 2007 audi a4 2.0T automatic with about 13000
not a fast car by any means total economy car.... good on gas.... comfortable and easy to drive... the tiptronic is very laggy and takes a while to shift after you tap... can't get past the traction control however there is an "ESP" button that frees the car up a little... check engine light came on once for some clogged hose, friend didnt explain the problem too well and audi took care of it... Brakes have been squelling since 6000 miles audi "fixes" but on the way back home brakes squell again... for 30K+ you can have much more of a car and he totally regrets buying it, he will sell it after it is done being paid off in exchange for a used E46 M3
tipsyhemi 10-25-2007, 12:01 PM i own an 06, and i ADORE the car really do
things to watch for, is the diverter valve (a $50 part) is been know to go
other than that, theres not of really "know issues", cars very well built, great interior, the AWD system is incredible. i can only say good things
layla17 10-25-2007, 12:06 PM My best friend has an 07 and she hasn't had any problems with it. It's not the fastest car, but it's comfortable and gets great mpg.

ull love the difference
stereooptions 10-26-2007, 12:21 PM I have an 07 and GIAC chip and the car pulls nicely
Lezard 10-27-2007, 12:40 PM My mom has an 06. It has 25k on it, and it has never had any problems. Hasn't skipped a beat, mechanically or electronically. The interior rocks, the driving dynamics are great. You will be impressed with the build quality for sure! 2.0t is a great engine.
follow up: 16k miles and only problem so far was a faulty Bluetooth module that was replaced no problem.
chipped it a while ago and you can totally feel the difference. I don't beat on it though but the engine is much more eager after the chip. I've heard the stock DV goes even in non-chipped cars especially if you drive it hard constantly.
just had my V1 hardwired to it and my old Blinder laser jammer installed. :cool
M threezy 07-02-2008, 02:03 AM any more input? this seems like a great everyday car.
what is debate on the 2.0 vs 3.2?
Seems like Audi really stepped it up with reliability issues from previous years.
bmwleethaxor777 07-02-2008, 03:50 PM 3.2 if keeping stock 2.0t if any plans of modding.
i picked up a 2004 1.8t last week and its got an apr chip, carbonio intake and remus cat-back exhaust and it pulls nice. 1st gear is very short now and even with traction control off you wont be rippin broadie or losing traction at all. i average about 24 mpg city over 3 tanks of gas with romping on it so it does pretty good. and the 2.0t could only be better than that...
magnetic1 07-04-2008, 04:35 PM Wife has a 2005 1.8T. Ive gotten as high as 38MPG on highway w/ it.
Ignition Coils are notorious for these cars. We also had a coolant leak.
