Just wondering for whatever, if the block or heads are warped (lets say just a little), what are some symptoms?

Divergent 06-17-2007, 05:04 PM If your heads are warped, you will probably have a coolant leak of some kind. Whether it be interal or external depends on the warp location. Most components like the block and heads will not warp unless you have driven the car for a while with no coolant in the car. Or if you drove it while it was overheating and continued to drive... thejlevie 06-17-2007, 06:05 PM Slight damage to the head, block, or gasket may result in nothing more than random overheats as a result of an air bubble forming in the cooling system (initially). The qualatative test for that is to properly bleed the system over a period of time. If air is released on later bleeds a headgasket leak is the most probable cause. |
