I'm planning on putting my very stock 98 M3 on the market in about a week and just wanted to get a feeler for interest.

Here are the details:

Silver 1998 E36 M3
5-Spd manual
Approx 94,000 miles
Black leather interior
Dual power Vader seats
3 Spoke M Steering wheel
Harman Kardon Sound
M Contour rims with Potenzas
Spoiler (stock with LEDs and no 3rd light in rear window)
Illuminated shifter
BMW X-brace
Alpine CD/MP3/XM radio

I'll also be including a pair of extra Pilot Sport rear tires and a car cover. It also has a spare tire with the M Countour rim. It has XM satellite as well, which I've never paid for, but has worked for free since I've had the car. I originally purchased the car about 18 months ago, but walk to work in Los Angeles and I'm not driving it nearly as much as I should be.

The entire car is stock (which is a beautiful thing in my opinion) except for the addition of the X-brace (which is still an OEM part I guess) and the added Alpine stereo. All of the nice things like the spoiler, rims, vaders, etc. were there straight out of the factory.

As far as work goes, it's been very low maintenance. I had the full Level 2 service completed about two months ago (by John Norris at GT International, who was trying to convince me that I would regret selling it) and everything checked out great. The previous owner had the clutch and brake pads replaced just prior to me owning it and I've only put on about 5,000 miles since then. I also replaced both o2 sensors a few months ago (one needed to be replaced but I figured I do them both). The car has only been in the South throughout it's life, so it hasn't seen any winters or much rain.

I'm planning on listing it for about $16,900.

I've attached a few photos that I've taken over the past while.

Nice car but a little out of my budget. GL with the sale, it should go quick for this color combo.

Nothing from suspension or cooling system has been changed, has it?

While the car is beautiful, and the pics even better, 98's with 100K don't fetch 17 grand anymore, maybe 2 years ago though. I'm looking at your car, in 4 doors, with 20K more miles, all records, for $10,900...clean title.

I sold my 98 less than a year ago for $18,200...it had a few less miles but still...

His price is fair if someone wants it guys. From the pics it looks pretty nice.

I'm looking for a car right now and from what I'm seeing this car is definitely overpriced. Here are some of what I have so far:
1999 78K $14,900 silver on black
1997 90K $12,500 (Estoril or Avus - can't remember)
1998 96K $14,500 Techno Violet

Hey guys, sorry for the delayed response. I thought I had automatically subscribed to my own thread when I posted it and figured since I hadn't gotten any emails that no one had responded. Sorry about that.

Anyways, I'm officially putting this up for sale, although my asking price is $16,000. I've an extra 30 miles in the past month, so I'm definitely not getting enough use to justify keeping it.

Suspension, cooling, everything is stock.

As for the photos (that seems to be the burning question), I shot them with an EOS 20D.

Feel free to PM me if you're an interested buyer in SoCal.

Thanks!

So clean! I think 16k is a good starting point for this car.

Though the suspension is stock, have you performed the maintenance that goes bad by this time? (Bushings, shocks, struts, cooling system, other stuff on the EDGE checklist)

Here's the VIN WBSBG9334WEY79568

When I was in for the Level 2 inspection at GT International a few months ago, I had asked John Norris (M3 pro, yeah?) about the suspension (because I know people common replace their stock suspension). He said everything was totally fine and I didn't need to consider doing anything with the suspension any time soon. So I'm guessing that there are still quite a few miles left on the stock suspension.

unless all cooling and suspension issues have been dealt with, it's a little overpriced. pretty though, good pics too.
