Greetings All,

As you may know, Father's Day is a mere 48 hours away, and after much pondering, the brain-boilingly-difficult-to-shop-for Papa Wha finally came up something he wants by way of a present:

"Well," he said at last, "I just got a new guitar... I'd like a nice leather strap to go with it, with my name embossed on it." :)

:confused

Papa Wha's timing, you may note, occaisonally leaves a bit to be desired. :banghead:

So... Does anyone know any leatherworkers, custom axe strap makers, etc. in the Atlanta or N. Ga. areas where I might be able to scare up a nicely-made, good quality custom strap over the weekend? :help

Any & all help appreciated. :wave

Thanks much,
DW

Maybe Guitar Center? I don't know if they do any custom work, but that would be my guess.

Yeah, that crossed my mind, but thet're more of a big-box, mass market shop. I don't know that thye're much for customized anything (theyr'e still on my list to call, though).

Try Maple ST. Guitars in Buckhead.
Thanks much! Anyone particular you'd recommend me talking to there? :)

A bit pricy, but if you gotta have it by Father's Day go ahead.

Search for Levi's Straps on the internet and find the best price.

Wish my old man played guitar. I also wish he would buy a Bimmer instead of a Camry.

:rofl

The trouble with Papa Wha is what he won't play. Drums, guitars, trumpets, flugel horns, baritones... His ever-growing instrument collection drives Ma Wha up the wall. :eyecrazy Any time GP seems to start thinking my mere half-dozen basses and three drumsets are too much, I just remind her that it could always be worse... :devillook

As for BMWs, Papa Wha was a roadster enthusiast in his younger days, so he was all too happy to see me drive up one day in the Z4. :alright

Oh, and on the original question: The Maple Street folks put me in touch with a custom strap maker in Franklin, TN (near Nashville) who is going to work on something for me next week. Looks like the gentleman does some very nice work:

So we're all good, and thanks for the replies everybody! :wavey
