Also wanted to mention that the common power steering issue has been fixed this past winter, no leaking, from the times I've crawled under it; it appears to be remaining dry, and my fluid levels are not dipping.

All Mobil 1 synthetic oil, OEM filters, fresh diff fluid (Redline) will include transmission fluid (Redline), clutch stop, more pictures on request, but the enclosed site in the original post has the majority of the information there. :cool

Here is the information from when I purchased it previously:

Got a 1996 BMW M3 that's in need of a new home. Specs are:

3.2 liter motor (240hp/236torque)
Coupe
Black on Black
Full leather interior
Luxury package (power seats, harmon kardon sound system, cruise control)
Aftermarket pioneer 6-disk changer in trunk
Nearly perfect condition

The Good:

Car is in awesome shape for a 96, I've always got people who don't believe it. Always been a summer car and garaged most of the time.

Interior is in excellent condition, leather is in almost perfect condition. There is some slight wear on the drivers bolster (which is normal for a car that's 10 years old). It has the luxury package which adds a 10 speaker Harmon Kardon surround sound system, the wood trim, and electric seats. At some point someone also added a 6 disk changer in the trunk (pioneer). Sunroof works good as well, quietest sunroof I've ever heard when open and cruising.

The only issue with the exterior is the door ding on the passenger side. Other than that it's pretty much perfect. Not even that many rock chips.

Mechanically it's very sound. Engine is good and strong. Transmission shifts just fine. Tires still have a lot of life left in them.

Mods:
Carbon fiber intake with ITG filter
UUC Short Shift Kit
UUC Pedals

At one point the car did have strut bars on it since the rear trunk liner is cut for them, but I feel the car didn't need them for daily driving.

Now the bad:

The horn is intermittent. BMW used a carbon pin in the wheel for contact and after so much usage it gets worn down. Easy fix, just once again haven't had the time.

And second, the drives side door lock and window actuator are slightly "weird" the door lock works and activates the other locks, but if you lock the car from the passenger side the drivers side won't lock. The window just doesn't do the automatic roll up, everything else works. It will automatically roll down, just not up

I do have the carfax for the car and it shows clean except that it bent a wheel going into a ditch a few years ago. Other than that this car is in almost perfect condition.

I am located in the central Ohio area if anyone wants to look at it.

Would you ever consider a trade for a 1997 328i auto plus a lil cash? It's in excellent condition with 107,000 miles. Sounds like a crazy proposition, I know, but it makes a great daily driver.

The M3 makes a better daily driver. =)

Thank you for the offer, however, there is still a lien against the title. So, a trade for cash is about our only option

But, what about the fact that...naw, I won't even try to convince you because your right. The M3 is better. Oh well, at least I tried. Best of luck with the sale though. That car is hot.

Did you buy this fairly recently, like within the last year or so from someone in ohio or around the midwest? I remember reading that exact word for word description of the horn issue... edit: whoops, didn't see that you said that is the description from the previous owner. I remember this car being less than 14k for sure, but hey more power to ya.

Also, what size are the rear tires, they don't look right, aka look like 45 profile. I can't stand when people can't do something as simple as get the right sized tires for their car, let alone AN M3. Not saying you did it though....

Lots of interest, thank you for the emails and PMs.

Yes, someone put 45 profiles on the rear, rather than 40s. better gas milage though right? :lol It was sold less then $14k, but I have also done some maintainence, fixed the power steering known issue, new tires, etc.

As it mentions, or reasonable offer, I'm not at the 'set it or forget it' price. :cool

Man the sport seats aren't bad at all... they're actually very comfortable, more so than vaders. Vaders just "look cool"

I have sat in the vaders in a couple BMWSCCA cars, and I was more comfortable and felt the sport seats had a better bolster hold on me, but I'm sure it fits every person differently. Thanks again for comments, questions and the interest.
