View Full Version : I am having a swell week.
Jean-Claude 06-13-2007, 01:26 PM First, I finally get the appraisal for my house and hopefully I will close Friday or Monday.
Then Sarah calls me about 2 hours ago and tells me how her brothers wife got us Pumpkins tickets to the Asheville show. We had wasted a full day trying to get through when the tickets first went on sale. For those who didn't know, there was a site-overload and only a handful of people got tickets. We waited 2 days to try to get the tickets when they went on sale on ticketmaster.com. Tickets sold out in 15 seconds.
My week is jawsume.:cool

FAST5 06-13-2007, 07:59 PM I thought you had a circulation problem based on the thread title.
Timsmith 06-13-2007, 08:03 PM I assume you're talking about Smashing Pumpkins. I saw them in '91 or '92 at the 40 Watt in Athens and them again at a small club in Northampton Mass. in '93. Great shows!!
Jean-Claude 06-13-2007, 08:40 PM In '91 I would have been 10. I started listening to them when I was about 12 or 13. As cheesy as it sounds. They've been my favorite band since.
They're really a fantastic band. In my top 5.
For Tim's sake, I won't mention how old I was in 1991. :stickoutt

Zero and Rat in a cage(is that even the song title)... then leave :)Clearly not a Pumpkins fan.:rolleyesThere is not a bad song on Gish or Siamese Dream.
I have all of the albums and the box set. I would definitely consider them to be one of my favorite bands but I don't find myself listening much these days.:(
tpattison 06-13-2007, 11:00 PM I can't believe I'm saying this but I agree with Halston. :eyecrazy For the most part the Blumpkins suck ass. Their new song Tarantula bites too.

Doctor Wha 06-14-2007, 08:03 AM Interesting...
I'm having a pretty remarkable week myself, especially related to the last 48 hours of coincidences and a concert. I just crawled out of the rack though, and have to go dispose of a rental car, so I'll write about it later. :devillook
:cool

Oooh...you gonna blow it up?
Or crush it?
Or roll it down a hill...sideways?
Or push it over a cliff?
Or set it on fire?
Or ghost ride it into a wall?
Or see if you can jump over it in a monster truck?
Or dump it into a lake?
Or burry it in some sand?
Or put it on a cargo ship headed for Japan?
Or take it to a dealership for repairs?
Or donate it to charity?
Or cover it in chocolate and try to sell it as a piece of candy?

That's how I got my e30. :shifty
I would have rather had candy.

Add "Blue" to that list of albums. Not to mention they are one of my favorite bands to play on guitar.

But no, I'm afraid I merely took it back to the rental place. :D
LoveLEE143 06-14-2007, 03:06 PM I have co-workers who got drunk and ran into a concrete median in 95. They got out of the car walked to the next exit ramp, called a cab. Left the car went to the hotel. Woke up the next morning went to work and flew home for the weekend. The rental car company called and the person said it was stolen. Came back on Monday and rented from them again. I love rental cars, getting the beat the ish out of them weekly. I like the play the game who can get from the office to the hotel without hitting the brakes. I have won a few times just had to tap and object to come to a stop a couple of times.
