I got a ticket this weekend coming back from Savannah in Macon. (81 in a 55) Everyone I've talked to has said to write a letter to the solicitor for the court, and ask for leniency.
Anyone know of a good form letter to send off? Seems like someone has written one of these before. Or any tips for what to put into the letter?? (I'm not good at writing)
Deat Mister Solicitor,
I was speeding.. I'm sorry. Can you please give me a break?
Signed,
The Bullet

Man oh man... How many times have you driven from Atlanta to Savannah or anywhere down that way?
You don't speed anywhere in and around Macon because they are waiting there for you... They know everyone is coming through there and you probably are not from there and don't have time to come back so you will just mail the fine :)

Dear Solicitor,
My humble apologies for speeding. I didn't think you guys even had speed limits down in these parts, being that most of the vehicles are tractors.
Thank you.

Attention: Grand Master Solicitor
I sincerely regret my act of evil :evil2 in your town the other day. I was speeding (strike:nono that)......no, driving at a rate of speed totally unacceptable:redspot and should be smacked upside the head with that nice radar detector your fine officer was using. Which brings me to this. I do believe that the unit was at fault:help, because, I was clearly doing in excess of 90mph:eek: (not 81 as you quoted).
So, If you would be so kind as to refund me for my time sitting on the side of the road for wasted fuel, along with the difference between 90 and 81mph, being 9mph (which entitles me to a safe-driving bonus being under 35mph), I think we will be ok.:buttrock
Sincerely,
Dr. Hammer Down
