My registration is fast approaching expiration and the place I normally take my car is having OBD connection issues (dealer reports that communication with the ECM checks out fine). Any recommendations on reputable emissions places in the Duluth/Suwanee area?

TIA,
Winston

Shell station on Suwanee Dam/Lawrenceville Suwanee Rd...right next to 85.

There's a software update you need - mine failed repeatedly last year before they released the update. Time to schedule a dealer visit.

Thanks. Ironically, this service has already been performed and now it fails... :mad

Maybe they didn't do it (the update) right?

I haven't had mine tested since the update - the guy just tried repeatedly (10 times or more) and finally got it to communicate. I'll find out soon if the problem is fixed, though.

Update: Brought the car down to Four Seasons and was able to pass emmisions on the first try (thanks Scott & Crew).

Today was my last day to get this done without penalty, so I saved $50 in registration late fees. :redspot

They couldn't communicate w/ my former 03 M3 at a place with a fairly old machine, I went to another place (Speedemissions on Roswell Road, just south of 285) and it was no problem. Seems like you have to seek out places with newer gear.

The oddity is that the place that had failed this year had passed with no problems last year. In general, newer test equipment is a better bet.
