well i finally got a chance to track my car . i have always been a 1/4 mile kinda guy but wow on sunday was the most fun i have ever had in a car . ok guys gets your minds out of the gutter i meant driving the car lol . the track i was on with 3 passes through all the diff turns was a mile and a 1/4 . i had a total blast . my first 4 passes were in the rain then after lunch i went 4 more times but by then it had dried . by my final run i shaved 6 sec off my times but wow there is lots to learn . our club teams up with the local corvette club and the guys from the vette club were great and offered lots of pointers . my son went with me for most of the runs but i was alone for my best run at the end . he did mention to me that my car had alot less body roll that most of the vettes . i guess all my car needs to turn better times is a driver lol . but im hooked now big time lol . now i can begin being even broker buying parts to set it up better for the track lol . in closing i just again wanted to say it was fun using the car for what it was meant for . im going again in 2weeks . i missed the driving school they had a few weeks ago so im hoping to get to the next one .

yeah, it's addicting for sure. I'm an ex-everything-with-wheels racer but never ran on asphalt and never a full bodied car. I did my first HPDE a few weeks ago and I'm still shaking from withdrawls:stickoutt.

The "fast lines" on some of the corner combinations I would have never guessed. Lot's to learn. But it sounds like you learned the same thing I did...the car is WAAAY better than me too:D

I can't wait until my next time out.
