I'm taking my gf down to the city this Fri for her bday. I've got tickets for a show and would prefer to get reservations to eat somewhere but have no clue where. Any recommendations? Any type of food really, just not too pricey. Probably not too much more than $60 for dinner.
The show is in Times Square 42nd and 7th Ave. Within walking distance would be best because I'm not gonna have all that much time. Thanks a lot!

carmines....family style italian food, get one plate and you guys both eat. I think you should be within that range.

I was going to suggest the same place. Just make sure to get reservations ahead of time.

Getting a Fri pre-theatre reservation at Carmines only a couple of days away may be the real trick. It is very popular. Another very romantic place, but more expensive, is the Russian Firebird on W46th: http://www.firebirdrestaurant.com. The borscht and chicken kiev are to die for.

Indeed..they have no reservations available for Fri.

I went ahead and made a reservation at the other location on 91st St. Menu looked really good so its worth taking the subway. Thanks a lot guys.
