Um, well, I didn't really want to start a whole thread for this, but does anyone know if there's any way to keep your front wheels from spinning when changing a tire?

I usually just loosen the nuts while the cars still on the ground and then raise it up to take them off, but I tried installing spacers the other day, and the hub just kept spinning when I tried tightening the nuts.

Get it as tight as possible in the air and then tighten to spec on the ground. Basically the reverse of your mentioned method.

That's exactly what I do when putting on wheels, but the spacers just attach to the hub, and I don't want to try to get that on the ground.

I had someone hold another lugnut with a wrench while I tightened. I was just wondering if there was a better way to do it.
