I bought some of this on the strength of numerous recommendations here.
All I have to say is, how is it better than Windex?
I always use newspaper and I don't see a difference in results.
The Windex foams a little, whereas the Stoner's doesn't.
That's it so far.

Am I not using it correctly?

Did you buy it in the aerosol can?

windex is bad for the rubber and other plastic around the windshield, stoner's isn't.

also do yourself a favor and get a small waffle-weave cobra microfiber for the windows, it makes it so much easier (you can find them on AG)

aerosol is the way to go
they also offer a spray, which is what you probably tried

That's right, I bought the spray.
So this is not the best form?

JBs, I prefer newspaper...always have bc it works well.
I know Windex will attack rubber if it has ammonia in it, but doesn't Windex come in ammonia-free formulation as well?

very true. However I prefer stoners aerosol specifically because you'll get maximum foaming action. I honestly have never tried their spray but id assume its similar to other spray window cleaners that never worked for me in the past- no foam and lots of streaks. I think their aerosol is 1.97 at walmart

BTW microfiber is the only way to go IMO

Never tried the aeresol but the spray works great for me. No streaking whatsoever.

Did you use newspaper of mf towel?
I had streaking both times I've used it on two different vehicles.

People use teh bottle because the aerosol is bad for the environment. Should be the same exact thing :dunno

newspapers FTW

Try the aerosol and get a MF towel for best results. Materials do make a big difference in results.

I use a glass towel so it has the waffle weave. I spray on the towel, then wipe it onto the glass. In detailing, a really good rule is... LESS IS MORE. Perhaps you are using to much product?

Aerosol foams are the best way to go (water based; of course)

Yeah, I can't believe what a good job it does on windows. If you take your time and do it right, you'll be amazed at the results.

if you're getting streaking, try using less product.

if that doesn't work try turning on your AC to cool down the glass :dunno lol

What Windex are you using? I've never seen windex foam. And I've never seen Stoners NOT foam.

Bottled stoner's doesn't foam.
The windex might be foaming because the sprayer is in kind of sub par
condition allowing air in.

Dont they have foaming nozzles? I bought a spray bottle like that and used it with simple green, tight stuff - but thats a bit off topic

Any stoners will do - you can also find 3M aerosol window cleaner.

why not do a side-by-side?

FWIW...I did on my car, and HOLY $#!%

I had no idea that I've been driving around with dirty windows! there was a (previously unnoticeable) "film" or something that was remaining on the glass.

stoners (aero can + MF towel) is an amazing final touch. and for $4 at target, I'd recommend it to everyone
