Does anyone know if the clutch is covered by warranty on my 335xi sedan with only 4500 miles?

Wow, 4500 miles. Good luck having the warranty cover it.

well are you saying that you already destroyed it. No, the warranty wont cover it, its wear and tear.

all clutches are customer pay, they will remove the trans to check for defects. if any are found, then BMW will cover it. if they find abuse, then it will be customer pay, if you complain, and bitch, and make a scene on the service drive, then the dealer will goodwill it with authorization from bmw .

from what i understand, BMW will cover 1 clutch, but not a second one.

4500 miles is either extreme abuse, or defective, so you might have some luck getting it covered.

ALL parts are covered for the first 10K of a car. They can try to claim abuse, and the may be able to prove it, but ALL parts...including wear items are covered by law.

As I discussed in other threads, I had a 350Z with tire feathering issues, and from that i learned that event the people who blew the clutch out in less than 10K were covered.

Just understand they will try to make it your fault.

Was it your fault? We won't tell the dealer.

Nissan service, should not be compaired to BMW service, these are completely different. also Tires and Alignment are not covered under the factory warranty to 10k miles unless there is a visual defect that affects the safety of the vehicle. Alignements are only covered up to 2000 miles.

It's not service, it's required coverage. I didn't say suspension geometry is covered I said wear items. Unless something is waived, like when I was looking at an IS300, which they made you sign that the tires weren't going to last 12K it's all covered.
