I am looking for a keyless entry/alarm system for my M coupe, and was wondering who has the best price/hookup for such an item....

Any chance someone is selling theirs? I have been told that the M coupe comes prewired for the install, but I did not want to fork out the $500 for them to put it in for me before taking delivery.

For a dealer, try Pacific BMW. Most seem to think they have the best mailorder prices.

For non-dealer, check out Zygmunt (supporting vendor). Not sure if Zygmunt would carry the alarm though.

Welcome to the insanity.

I second what Luni said - Pacificbmw.com has the best OEM prices from a dealership...and the service is good too!

Circle BMW in NJ is also competitive with Pacific BMW of both price and service, and they both have internet sales - very convenient. Once you order from them and they have you payment and shipping information, it's really very easy to order otehr items.

Don't know if they have alarms, but

www.bimmerparts.com

always has better prices than the $tealership. FAR better...

After much searching around, I found that pacificbmw.com had the best prices. While MSRP on the unit is $425 (exactly what the dealership here tried to charge me), Pacific BMW offered the same part at $303.00!!! That is one huge difference!

I don't know, I bought a factory alarm for my 97 M3/4 from Hendrick BMW (another Roundel advertiser) and they came in about $25 lower than Pacific so I went with them. I think I paid around $265 for my alarm/keyless entry.

I've also had very good experiences with BMA Auto parts as someone else mentioned. Got RSM's way below retail.
