I am going to remove the lower middle plastic mesh next and get the 325i outer lower finisher rod/accent bars since they are black to match the grill.....
mryakan 06-06-2007, 06:16 PM Is that easy to remove? I'll swap with you :-)
Beer Goggles 06-06-2007, 06:47 PM Not feeling it, looks like it's unfinished.
CABimmer 06-06-2007, 06:53 PM love it, the chrome on the e90 hood has always looked out of place. How much was it, my e90 could use that
jawaii99 06-06-2007, 07:16 PM No offense 1clean but I'm with Beer Googles on this one - looks like sunglasses for your grill.....
mryakan 06-06-2007, 08:49 PM I actually like the chrome accent on my black, and was also looking to get the 335 silver/chrome stripe in the lower mesh bumper to replace my black one.
1clean335i 06-06-2007, 10:13 PM did some playing around with the lower accent bars that were bright silver.... now its black...

brokenbimmer 06-06-2007, 11:06 PM I wonder what it would look like on black or graphite. Might be interesting.
deanayer 06-06-2007, 11:13 PM I think it would look cool if it was painted to match the car but what would also be cool is if you could ditch the chicken wire from the three lower air inlets where the horizontal accent bar runs and replace that whole area with matching vertical fins like the two kidneys have. Then it would look uniform. I would like those replacements if the were painted gloss black maybe but what I really want to see is someone paint the hood two-tone with thin accent stripes right along the two crease lines and fill the center of the hood with a contrasting color like space grey on Monaco with grey kidneys and lower vertical fins to replace the chicken wire. That would be cool (if that made any sense).

Same here. I think the chrome looks better. But as my mother-in-law would say, that's why they make chocolate and vanilla!

What did you do with the old chrome grill? Is it for sale?
Also how did you change the bar to black? I would like to do the reverse.
I Like it a lot, its something different but if i would put it on my car it would look like a stripdown lol (AW)
Mart@eurospec 06-07-2007, 03:11 AM looking good bro! thanks for the post.

Beer Goggles 06-07-2007, 07:56 PM Try it with the chrome mustaches...it still looks unfinished.
Blacklemon 06-08-2007, 01:25 AM i like the black grille on a white or black car only..paint it blue to match maybe...nobody has done that yet
Mart@eurospec 06-08-2007, 02:08 AM thanks for the pics chino! love the grill!
Stylin 06-08-2007, 11:08 AM yea chrome is better.. black on all black car works well.
doobie 06-08-2007, 11:17 AM did some playing around with the lower accent bars that were bright silver.... now its black...

The night pics were of me messing around with a roll of electrical tape to tape up the lower bars... Then at work the next morning I bought the 325i ones cause they are black... $13 for all 3 my cost since i work at bmw..

Wow that's a nice drop with the race springs.
denton 06-08-2007, 04:49 PM Now I woulda though all chrome would have looked better in that color. I agree w the person who said it would look great on a black car or a white car. But the main thing is that you like it of course.
Here's an all-chrome grill on my barrique 328xi

murdoc158- thanks for the compliments :)
mryakan 06-08-2007, 11:07 PM Anyone got part numbers for the silver ones and instructions for replacing them? I plan to purchase from US and have my sister bring em over on her way here.
Thanks a bunch
InterSpool 06-09-2007, 02:01 AM Way clean.
doobie 06-09-2007, 03:06 AM thanks for those part numbers!
mryakan 06-11-2007, 09:26 PM Just ordered the 335i chrome grills for my 323i. 40.80$ US each, not bad. However, I tried to pull the grill out today to see how tough it is, but I was afraid I'd break it. I read that you only need to pull, nothing else to losen/unscrew. How hard should I pull, the plastic doesn't feel too sturdy.
///MINI 06-11-2007, 09:34 PM That's looks pretty good to me. Good stuff.
